The music on the day will include some of Will's works like The Call of Wisdom, My Lord has Come, The Lord is My Shepherd and excerpts from Mass in Blue, and may also include music by John Rutter and Bob Chilcott. Assisting Will on the day will be the choir's accompanist, Michael Higgins.
This Come and Sing Workshop is open to all choral singers, (or would-be choral singers!) as well as members of WCS. The programme will be suitable for people familiar with choral singing and those less so. You do not have to be able to sight-read, but it may help if you can. St Matthew's Church is a 5-6 minute walk from Raynes Park rail station, which is one stop after Wimbledon on the South-West Trains network. The Church is also easily accessible by several bus routes. Registration for the event is from 09:30 as we would like to have a prompt 10:00 start for the music!
