An evening of great choral music that either originated from or has come out of the USA, although not all the composers are American. Ola Gjeilo, for example, was born in Norway but has resided in the USA since 2001. And while WCS is into new commissions at the moment (see our previous concert), even our rehearsal accompanist, Michael Higgins, has got in on the act with his new Three American Songs. Our special guest for the evening will be Icelandic clarinettist, Einar Jóhannesson (right).
