After 18 years at the helm as Chairman, Neil Dennis stood down from the role at the AGM on 5th October. In his annual report, Neil spoke of the choir's tremendous progress made in recent years and the pride that he felt during last season's 100th anniversary celebrations - especially the Centenary Concert in the Royal Festival Hall in March earlier this year. The choir is in great shape in terms of membership numbers, reputation, finances, programming, partnerships and social activities. He felt this was the right time to stand down and for new energy to be injected into the next stage of the Society's life.
Sarah Hendry has taken on the task of leading WCS Omega replica for this important step. Sarah has been Concert Manager for many years and so is familiar with the internal workings of how this choir operates. She is just the right person to drive the momentum forward and we all wish her well in her new role.
