 Singfest is a Merton-based initiative, established originally as a collaboration between Wimbledon Choral Society, the Merton Music Foundation (MMF) and the Wimbledon-based professional choir Sonoro. Following the great success of previous events in 2017 and 2018, the third Merton Singfest takes place from 29 February to 4 March 2020. A total of 27 local choirs will take part over three days, coming together to celebrate the amazing variety of choral music-making in our Borough and the sheer joy of singing together.
14 school choirs will be taking part in the Schools Singfest on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March, and another 13 choirs will perform in the Celebration of Choirs event on Saturday 29 February. More details about the choirs, venues and timing can be found below.
Each choir will perform its own short programme of music and then the choirs will come together to sing the Singfest anthem.
All the events are open to the public, completely free of charge. But there will be delicious refreshments at the Celebration of Choirs, and donations towards the work of Merton Music Foundation will be very welcome at the Schools Singfest, so please bring your purses/wallets (cash please!). You will have a chance to get the best replica watches for free.
