Carmina Burana Joint venture with The Bach Choir
Sunday, 29 October 2023, 15:00 - 18:00
Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AP

The Raymond Gubbay organisation has asked the Bach Choir to lead a performance of Orff's dramatic Carmina Burana in the Royal Albert Hall. For a venue that size, it requires collosal forces to stage it and get the sound across. So, we've been invited to work with the Bach Choir and there will be the combined vocal forces of four (yes, four) choirs up on the stage - some 400+ singers. WCS performed Carmina Burana in Cadogan Hall four years ago so, for many, the notes will still be floating around in your heads somewhere!
In the same concert, there will also be Glinka's Russlan & Ludmilla Overture and Saint-Saen's Symphony No 3 (Organ).
Note : this concert is on a Sunday afternoon and the audience size will likely be 4000-5000.
It's going to be immense. Tickets are on sale now.
