Inspired by the positive reaction to our first #VirtualWCS recording at the start of the initial lockdown during the Coronavirus pandemic, the choir recorded a second one in late May, this time with both audio and video. The music on this occasion was one of Michael's 'Three American Songs' that we commissioned from him in 2019 and performed in the summer concert - Bright Morning Stars. Again, we are grateful to Michael for having done all the preparation for this, providing the click tracks, editing and stitching altogether the audio tracks, and working with Charles Tomlinson to package the video recordings into a beautifully produced result, which can be seen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WixTdxzOM58.
We are also very grateful to the brilliant Roderick Williams agreeing to partner with us on this - a lovely surprise for WCS members, who had no idea about it until the release of the video at 6pm on the 6th of June, the date and time when our cancelled summer concert would have started.
