SingFest 2024
Singfest is a London Borough of Merton-based initiative, established originally in 2017 as a collaboration between Wimbledon Choral, the Merton Music Foundation (MMF) and the Wimbledon-based professional choir Sonoro.
Its purpose is to highlight and showcase the enormous breadth of opportunities for singing all types of music in choirs covering all ages, capabilities and sizes across the borough. This year nearly 20 different choirs from kids to oldies will be taking part and everyone is welcome to pop in during the day to have a listen. The full programme is seen by clicking here.
Refreshments and nibbles will be available throughout the day - an excuse to come back several times.
The venue is St Mark's Church, Wimbledon - a 2-3 minute walk from Wimbledon station and the date is Saturday 11 May 2024.
Members from Wimbledon Choral are first up at around 10:00, performing some items from our summer concert repertoire, and the whole event will finish around 17:30. Do come and support them and the other performers - everyone having that same love and enjoyment of singing for fun and pleasure.
Remember - if you are participating on this day, then please wear something yellow - the SingFest colour.
